Hours: Full-time 35hrs p/w - Monday- Friday 9am to 5pm

Location: The Society operates a hybrid working model with a combination of remote and in-person (Dublin 4 office) working

Office Days: Office attendance days are Wednesday & Thursday

Salary: €51,000 per annum

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Officerto support the delivery of our marketing campaigns, brand activity, fundraising initiatives and digital content and activation across the organisation. This is an ideal role for a marketing professional who is organised, astute and creative with excellent communication and project management skills and is motivated by meaningful work.


What you’ll do…

Marketing Campaign Management:

  • You will assist and support the Head of Brand & Marketing in the development and implementation of all key Brand marketing campaigns for the organisation and activate TTL across all channels (e.g. TV; Radio; Digital; OOH).

  • You will assist with all media planning for the core Brand and Marketing campaigns overseeing the process from media channel selection, media buy through to campaign evaluation.

  • You will assist with the development of any creative briefs for Brand & Marketing Campaigns and help manage the briefing process and any pitch processes that may arise.

  • You will support the coordination of the creative review and feedback process with internal and external stakeholders

  • You will assist in the management of creative production ensuring that the pre and postproduction processes of any creative development run according to brief and budget.

  • Coordination of internal communications teams in the creative development process.

  • Support the Head of Brand with the management of 3rd Party Agencies & Suppliers.

  • You will support the development and implementation of the national fundraising campaigns for the organisation, working closely with the Fundraising teams across creative development, artwork approvals and campaign activation.

  • Working with the Head of Brand monitor all brand metrics tracking, analysis and reporting. Including online digital analysis and metrics/KPI tracking in addition to overall marketing campaign performance and organic social media reporting.

  • Provide ongoing administrative and coordination support for campaigns.


Social Media Management:

  • You will oversee and lead out on the organisation’s social media strategy across key channels and maintain the online presence of the Irish Cancer Society.

  • You will oversee the annual digital editorial calendar for the Irish Cancer Society’s social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and You Tube.

  • Maintain and monitor our online community through day-to-day engagement and innovative content

  • You will complete ongoing evaluations of our Social Media presence, engagement and activity and report on the key metrics.

  • You will create ongoing content to support the key organisational and brand initiatives, working cross-functionally across departments in particular with the Communications/PR teams.

  • You will work to foster a sense of community across the Society’s social media channels and take a proactive approach to moderation and engagement.


Brand & Marketing Support:

  • Support the Head of Brand & Marketing in the day‑to‑day operations of the department and managing the organisational marketing workplan, liaising with the different departments and coordinating team workstreams.

  • Act as a lead point of contact for all general organisational marketing queries.

  • Safeguard brand consistency across marketing materials, campaigns and all digital platforms.

  • Coordinate organisational digital newsletter development and dispatch.

  • Assist with content planning and scheduling across all media channels.

  • Act as an integrated team member with team colleagues in Design and Digital marketing to deliver campaigns across all channels.

  • Represent the Brand Marketing team at key meetings and events both internally and externally as necessary.

  • You will represent the Brand & Marketing team on GDPR - Data Representative Working Group, ensuring ongoing data compliance across the team, and informing and implementing relevant processes across the department with a data privacy lens.

Who you are

  • In possession of strong project management and organisational skills with attention to detail.

  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and working across a variety of projects and supporting cross‑functional teams.

  • Creative and eager to contribute to creative development and campaign delivery.

  • Keen to develop your marketing skills and competencies across digital, content creation and brand management.

  • Motivated, self-starter who takes the initiative.

Your qualifications & experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.

  • 3 – 4 years’ experience in a marketing role in house or agency.

  • Experience of working on Brands and within marketing teams

  • Strong MS Office skills.

  • Experience with digital marketing and social media management tools

  • Experience of managing marketing agencies and 3rd party suppliers.

  • Direct experience of working on ATL (TV/Outdoor/Radio) campaigns an advantage.

  • General knowledge of media buying an advantage.
